Water is the source of all life on Earth, a vast communication tool for economies, cultures, history and gods.
Deep Down Tidal
Water is our planet’s essential life-sustaining substance. We rely on its nourishment but still debate how it came to be. Across vast expanses of ocean, we lay fibre-optic cables that connect continents and cultures; its shipping lanes are the arteries of a globalised economy and colonial expansion. Water’s flow contains histories, gods, deities and mystery. In her panoramic video work Deep Down Tidal, Tabita Rezaire goes deep, examining water’s potential as an interface for communication.
