It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of weekend. But here’s one way you and your bestie could do it.
Wed 04 June—Sun 31 August
The cracked opulence of Flinders Street Station’s upper levels becomes a holey new world. Climb up for a playable art exhibition featuring nine mini golf holes created by nine adventurous women artists including Miranda July, Kaylene Whiskey, Saeborg, Nabilah Nordin, Natasha Tontey, Delaine Le Bas, BKTHERULA, Soda Jerk and Pat Brassington.
Wed 04—08 June
Head to towards the iconic Arts Centre spire for this live docu-drama that crackles with wit and energy. It stars 14 unrehearsed actors and one camera-wielding kid. You'll enter the mind’s eye of Bub, an 11-year-old girl who turns to dramatised re-enactment to understand what's happening with her family.
Wed 04—15 June, 5pm til late
Don’t go to bed before exploring Night Trade. A miscellanea of RISING mischief with art, food, DJs and karaoke. It’s happening just outside your door in Howey Place and the surrounding laneways.
Suki Waterhouse (exclusive to Melbourne)
Fri 06 June
The beloved British It Girl doesn’t usually play in plush and intimate venues like the Athenaeum. But she does for RISING. Get front and centre for the sparkle.
Sat 07 June, 12pm—8pm
Spend Saturday at our epic day party with 25 big acts under one ticket. Featuring Brooklyn shoegazers DIIV, Atlanta rapper BKTHERULA, Mount Kimbie DJs and so much more.

After Day Tripper we clear the floor for a Blackfulla Dance Music Experience. RONA.'s on the decks. She's a Kaytetye producer/DJ known for throwing down high-octane, melodic bangers and letting the beat move through her. Also, DJ PGZ filling the hall with techno and global club styles honouring the Black and Brown pioneers of dance music. Support from Kalaji and Brother Nelson too.
Wed 04—Sun 15 June
Get your perception bent as lasers bounce off the Capitol’s iconic ceiling, transforming the auditorium into a kinetic sculpture of light, thanks to Tokyo-based artist Shohei Fujimoto.
Sun 08 June, 9pm
Pete and Bas started making drill and grime when they were approaching 70 “from the wrong direction”. They discovered hard-as-heck rap when Pete’s granddaughter was playing it through the car radio. Now they’re collaborating with M24 and T-Pain. Go witness these two cockney gents ignite the mosh.
Mon 09 June, 3pm
After such a massive weekend of golf, gigs and lasers, you'll be ready to zone out and compete with hundreds of others to do the most nothing.
