Local Business Program

We're inviting small businesses that make up the fabric of the city to participate and be part of RISING.

Retail, restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs, entertainment venues, tourist attractions, cultural institutions, hotels and accommodation providers, within the CBD are elligible to participate.

Simply fill in the form, and successful applicants will be provided a RISING Local Business Program asset kit and ideas for theming their façade or shopfront throughout the festival period.

In exchange, local business will be supported by RISING through promotion across our channels. Businesses will be sent a RISING digital asset kit to promote their involvement in the festival.

How does RISING support local business?

As a major cultural event supported by Visit Victoria and Creative Victoria, RISING aims to invigorate the city through winter and support the City of Melbourne’s night-time economy with unique and engaging programming.

From 01—16 June 2023, RISING extends down the spine of Melbourne's CBD, arcades and back alleys come alive with micro-bars, exhibitions and performance interventions. The walkable footprint sees hidden spaces unlocked and iconic landmarks transformed to reflect Melbourne's people and creative talent.

Over three weekends, RISING invites audiences to party, participate in collective art-making and discover Melbourne anew. It's a festival that invests in art, artists and audiences and makes Melbourne feel alive each winter.
