There are two accessible parking spaces directly in front of the Malthouse Theatre Building on Sturt Street, and two spaces to the rear of the Malthouse Workshop on Dodds St.

There is a Wilson Parking at 2 Riverside Quay, Southbank is a 550 meter walk to the venue. Parking is available at Wilson Parking locations found in and around the CBD. Plan your journey with online options available, click here for details.

Nearest accessible train station: Flinders Street Station is a 12-minute walk or 7-minute drive away.

Nearest accessible tram stop: Stop 13 - Federation Square/Swanston St.

ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE

Located at the main entrance for the Workshop space, on the far side of the Outdoor Stage area, when you enter the precinct from Sturt Street.

ACCESSIBLE BATHROOMS

One accessible bathroom located in the main hall of the Malthouse Theatre, near the bar.

DOG SPENDING/REST AREA

The Workshop is adjacent to a large outdoor gravel area.

HEARING LOOP / ASSISTIVE LISTENING

Malthouse offers a Hearing Assistance System which allows patrons using a hearing aid to tune into the frequency of that venue. For patrons without a hearing aid, they offer a similar system and provide the patron with headphones. These systems are available for all mainstage performances in the Merlyn and Beckett Theatre.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

The Malthouse—home of Malthouse Theatre—houses two indoor theatres, an outdoor stage, rehearsal studios, meeting rooms, a bar, and a cafe. Wherever possible, they aim to make their spaces wheelchair accessible. Below you will find information about the wheelchair access for each of the spaces.

The Malthouse has permanent spaces in the Merlyn, Beckett and Tower Theatres dedicated to patrons using a wheelchair. Please contact the Malthouse Box Office or fill out this online form here to the venue know your requirements when booking.

Ground floor of The Malthouse is accessible by wheelchair (enter via the ramp near the Box Office). The Merlyn and Beckett Theatre, MALT Kitchen & Pantry, Box Office, Bar and bathrooms are all located on the ground floor.
